I started Ruby's Jewels a couple of years ago when I bought a box of beads for my daughter. She got bored, I got hooked, and the rest, as they say, is history!

After a year or so of working mainly with charms (you name it .. phone charms, handbag charms, wine glass charms, charm bracelets ...) I started to teach myself the techniques of jewellery making, and discovered the delights of semi-precious gemstones and silver, lots and lots of silver! 

My jewellery-making has taken on a whole new direction since August 2007 when I took up lampworking ... the art of melting glass to make beads! I just love love love making beads - so you should see them pop up all over my site - as pendants, necklaces, bracelets, phone charms ... and if you are interested in buying my beads for your own designs, have a little lookie here ... Lush Lampwork

Just another quick word about buying from either of my websites - when an item is sold it doesn't automatically update on the site, so just occasionally it may happen that an item is no longer available.  To be fair to all my customers I operate a strict first come first served policy, but if you do miss out on the original I will drop you a line to offer you a refund or maybe an alternative if possible.
